Minister Nara Lokesh has said that TDP karyakarthas are his responsibility. He went on to say that he will work as the older son in each karyakata’s household.
Lokesh called the family members of the slain TDP Rompicharla mandal president in Palnadu district, Venna Balakotireddy, to his house in Undavalli.
He lauded the work done by Venna Balakotireddy for the party for four decades. Lokesh said Reddy who was from Alavala village worked for the good of the party and people.
But this led to severe jealousy among YSRCP cadre. With the backing of the then YCP MLA Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy, they shot him to death, said an angry Lokesh.
Six months prior to his death, Balakotireddy was attacked with knives, but he survived. He complained to the police many times, but it fell on deaf ears, said Lokesh. Those involved in the murder must be severely punished, said Lokesh.
Lokesh promised the family of Balakotireddy that he will support them lifelong. He said the karyakartas are the strength of TDP.
Lokesh took a key decision to meet karyakartas directly henceforth.
