Nara Lokesh Promise

Minister Nara Lokesh’s poll promise was to establish a gold hub in his constituency Mangalagiri. Steps are being taken at a brisk pace to establish the ‘gold hub’.

The hub will give stiff competition to places like Mumbai, Kolkata, Coimbatore, known for their expertise in making gold jewellery. Lokesh had promised prior to elections that he will set up a ‘gold hub’ that will be the largest gems and jewellery park in India.

The hub will bring a change in the lives of goldsmiths and give them a secure future, Lokesh had said. Right now, steps are being taken to realise the goal.

The officials have identified land between Mangalagiri and Pedavadlapudi. The officials met up with the farmers from the area at Atmakuru ZP High School.

180 farmers came ahead to give 76 acres of land and signed the papers. The officials will soon announce how much land would be given to the farmers as compensation.
