
The countdown has begun for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Amaravati visit. Modi will be inaugurating the redevelopment works of the capital. All arrangements for the tour are almost over. The public meeting will be held on 250 acre land behind Velagapudi Secretariat.
Modi’s visit will be for 1 hour 25 minutes. On May 2, his tour will be between 3.25 pm and 4.45 pm.

The minister’s committee held a meeting at the command control centre on Thursday. Various details like parking, food, drinking water and the security arrangements were discussed in the meeting.
Modi will land at 2.35 pm at Gannavaram airport. From there, he will directly fly to the helipad near Velagapudi Secretariat in a helicopter. The entire tour will be of 1 hour 25 minutes. It will start at 3.25 pm and end around 4.45, 5 pm.

People from various districts are expected to come for the meeting. Around 5 lakh people are expected to attend the meeting.
As it is peak summer, the organizers are taking precautionary measures. About 7000 buses from Guntur, NTR, both Godavari districts and Palnadu districts are expected. Another 5000 cars are also expected to come to the meeting. Accessibility of roads is being monitored and parking spaces have also been provided. Six routes have been marked and six parking spaces will be provided at the venue.

On the other hand, security measures have become a priority due to the recent Pahalgam attack. The security is being looked after by SPG since Wednesday morning. 2500 police have come from various districts to the venue. As a security measure, only 14 people will be allowed on the dias.
Modi will be inaugurating works worth Rs 58,000 crores. Secretariat, Assembly, High Court buildings along with houses for legislators and judges will be inaugurated by Modi. Two railway lines will be dedicated to the nation.
Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, law school and other organizations to make Amaravati a Quantum Valley will also be inaugurated. The idea is to develop Amaravati as a AI city.
A pylon made of granite highlighting the works of Amaravati in shape of A will also be inaugurated by Modi. The pylon has names of PM Modi and Chandrababu. The pylon has been put up behind the public meeting space.
PM Modi had inaugurated Amaravati in 2015. But the works stopped as the government changed. Now, with the alliance government in power, the works will go on at full speed.
