Modi Imposed A Condition for KCR’s Snap Polls Idea

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has met Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week to ensure that his idea of Snap Polls in November will go as per the plan. But then, it is said that the Prime Minister has imposed a condition KCR should convene a special session of the Assembly and explain the reason of Assembly Dissolution.

We are told that the Chief Minister is extremely inconvenient with this idea but the Prime Minister do not want the decision to be taken unilaterally. Modi also want KCR to take all the blame of this decision and is not ready to share the blame from the Opposition. It has to be seen if KCR will come up with a genuine reason which will sound the dissolution as in the interest of the state.

But then, KCR has mastered the art of controlling the Opposition in the house in this four years or so. From suspending someone like Revanth Reddy for every session to disqualifying two Congress MLAs, KCR did it all in the house. So, it may not be difficult for the Chief Minister to convene a session and finish the proceedings by saying whatever he wants to.
