
Former MP Vijaysai Reddy‘s daughter Neha Reddy has been fined Rs 17.46 crore for digging and constructing a wall on Bhimili beach causing damage to environment.
The fine has been imposed by the forest & environment department. The same was directed by the High Court, shared Vizag ward 22 Jana Sena corporator Pitala Murthy Yadav.
An experts team visited the site and reviewed the damage caused following High Court directives. Apart from paying the fine, the Court asked them to restore the damage done, said Murthy Yadav.
The GHMC officials have given an estimate of Rs 73.60 lakh to demolish the boundary wall. The money will be recovered from Neha Reddy, the Court directed.
A case has been filed on Neha Reddy-owned Avyan Realtors LLP in Bhimili Court under the environment protection act, said Murthy Yadav.
