SIT issued notices to ex YSRCP MP Vijaysai Reddy regarding the liquor scam that happened during YS Jagan’s tenure. It said that Vijaysai Reddy must present himself at Vijayawada CP office on April 18.
Various clues are emerging from the case and the police are taking steps based on them. The case has gained significance once again after the details were divulged in the Parliament by Lavu Krishnadevarayalu, who was with YSRCP in the past and is with TDP now.
The AP government has appointed SIT to undertake deep inquiry into the matter.
The police are questioning various leaders allegedly involved in the scam. Now, it’s the turn of Vijaysai Reddy as he was the advisor to the government during that time.
There are allegations about the liquor policy of Jagan’s government between 2019 and 2024. There are cases regarding issuing of licenses, production of cheap liquor and supply of low quality liquor.
Amidst rumours of Vijaysai Reddy joining the BJP anytime soon, the latest inquiry on Vijaysai Reddy has become a talking point in political circles.
