The BJP has expressed its immense satisfaction for the passing of Telangana bill and the creation of Telangana. Furthermore, the BJP has stated its aim of continuing to fight over the interests of the Seemandhra region. In this regard, they had asked the Congress Government to extend a concession to the region for 10 years to compensate for the loss of Hyderabad. However, the government has only granted the special status for 5 years and the BJP has said that after coming to power, they would extent this Special Category Status to 10 years.
BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu has made this promise and has appealed to both the regions to give them a chance to satisfy and give justice to both the regions.
Naidu also expressed some unhappiness regarding the fact that the government could not do justice to the Seemandhra region and claimed that it was only through BJP intervention, that some concessions were given to the Seemandhra region.
