BARC released the ratings of News Channels for week 27 (July 1st to 7th). NTV and TV9 are in the first two slots. NTV is maintaining a decent lead over TV9. However, both channels registered a slight dip in ratings when compared to the previous week.
If we observe the pattern of ratings for the last few weeks, there is no major spike despite Pawan Kalyan’s Vaarahi Vijaya Yatra. In fact, there is a decline in the ratings of major channels. That should worry Janasena.
Coming to this week’s ratings, TV5 is in the third slot while V6 is in the fourth. ABN Andhrajyothy is ranked fifth followed by T News and 10 TV in sixth and seventh positions.
YSR Congress‘s mouthpiece Sakshi continues its disastrous show on the Ratings list. It is stationed at the Eighth position.
Usually, political analysts ascertain the mood of the public in elections by the news they consume. YSR Congress should be worried about Sakshi’s decline.
The ruling party of AP should be happy their friendly partners TV9 and NTV are at the top to help them.
In Telangana, people are watching V6 more. It is a pro-BJP channel and that should be unsettling for KCR. BRS-owned T-News is doing well to be in sixth position but then, its ratings are about half of what V6 is getting.
Regarding Telangana politics, NTV is kind of neutral for now and TV9 is inclined towards BJP.
