No Filmy Ganeshas This Year!

Last year, we have seen Vinayaka Chavithi flooded with Baahubali Ganeshas. But this year there are not many idols inspired by filmi fanaticism. neither are there pop-culture inspired Bappas. This year, Ganeshas are more of classic styles like the Mumbai Lalbaugcha Raja, Shivaji, Malhari, Krishna and Shiva styles.

The makers of Ganesh idols in Dhoolpet have confirmed this development and they are expecting that the filmy trend will be back again with the second part of Baahubali releasing before Vinayaka Chavithi next year. We are told that there are some requests for Salman Khan inspired Sultan Ganesh but the makers rejected them.

The makers say they do not entertain friviolous requests because it is all about devotion and piety with Ganesh idols. They say they have entertained Baahubali Ganesha requests last year because of that iconic scene where Shivudu carries the Shiva lingam made for a nice theme for Lord Ganesha.
