Every Chief Minister will have a cabinet. The cabinet will have Ministers who handle various portfolios.
Usually, in the governments headed by the Regional Parties, we barely see any Ministers getting credit. In fact, Good or Bad will only go into the Chief Minister’s Account.
In the case of Andhra Pradesh, it is Chandrababu Naidu.
Janasena is a partner in Andhra Pradesh Government and Pawan Kalyan is the Deputy Chief Minister.
While the Deputy CM post appears to be next only to the Chief Minister, there is no such post in the Constitution. Deputy CM is another Minister in the cabinet and is more of a Political Designation.
But then, Chandrababu Naidu is often going the extra mile to give respect to Pawan Kalyan.
In the Budget tabled today in the Assembly, Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav mentioned Pawan Kalyan while reading out the allocations made to Roads and Rural Development.
“Under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, our government is taking a step forward in rural development. 30,000 works are being done in villages. Out of 4300 km, 3,000 km of CC roads have already been completed. We will provide clean drinking water to every household through the Jal Jeevan Mission. We are allocating Rs. 18,847 crore for rural development for the financial year 2025-26,” Payyavula Keshav said.
This Government is keeping a lot of focus on the roads after being extensively neglected by the previous government. Chandrababu Naidu is making funds available for laying roads and this is one area where there is a lot of improvement.
In fact, good roads have been always the area of focus of Chandrababu Naidu whenever in power. The previous TDP Governments also spent big on roads and other infrastructure.
But then, Chandrababu Naidu has no inhibitions whatsoever to give Pawan Kalyan the credit.
Mentioning Pawan Kalyan’s name and that too saying ‘Under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’ underlines the importance Chandrababu Naidu is giving to the Janasenani.
