No One Can Understand KCR’s Strategy

The upcoming elections in Telangana are set to bring formidable opponents for Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s chief, KCR, with Eatala Rajendar in Gajwel and Revanth Reddy in Kamareddy posing strong challenges. The decision of the Telangana chief minister to contest two seats has ignited speculation and raised doubts about his perceived stronghold in Gajwel.

KCR has held Gajwel since 2014 and his victory in Gajwel appeared almost certain given his unchallenged position in Telangana. However, this time, doubts are surfacing about his perceived invincibility, especially with his decision to contest in Kamareddy as well.

Opposition parties say KCR is running to Kamareddy for a safer win because he’s not so sure about winning in Gajwel. They also think it shows a change in people’s feelings about BRS in all the 119 areas that will vote on November 30.

When Kalvakuntla Kavitha, MLC and daughter of KCR, was asked to talk on this issue in a recent interview with a TV channel, she replied, “First of all there was no compulsion on him to contest from two seats. It was our party’s strategy. No one, including me, can understand KCR’s strategy. If any of you guys can figure out his strategy, let me know.”

The anchor asked if KCR wins both seats, which one will he prefer to which Kavitha replied, “I request the people of Kamareddy to make KCR win by 1000 votes more than in Gajwel, I will make sure he stays in Kamareddy only.”
