The negligence of the Central government is clearly visible in all the fronts in issues regarding to Andhra Pradesh. Latest in the line is Polavaram project which is considered as the life line to the truncated state.
The project was given National project status during the state bifurcation. According to the status, the central government should fund 90% of the project expense. Since the appointed day to July 7th, the state government had spent 812 Crores on the project.
We are already in to four months of the new financial year but center did not reimburse a single rupee of this expense. As a result, Polavaram works are going on at a very slow pace. In fact there is no MOU between the center and the state government regarding the project which is essential for a national project.
