Note for Vote Cases Not Really Matters

Telangana police seem to be least bothered about taking at least 543 cases of politicians bribing voters in the last general elections to their logical conclusion. Several cases are either pending in the courts or charges are yet to be framed against the erring politicians.

As revealed in an RTI reply of Election Commission of India, Both the states did not even provide information to the EC regarding the number of cases booked against politicians for bribing voters. Even though 18 states and Union Territories have submitted such details.

Telangana cases also include cases on seven prominent MLAs including PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy and assembly speaker S Madhusudhana Chary. Incidentally, the case against Telangana Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna that was booked with Adilabad town police station has been closed by the police.
