It is known that American President Barack Obama will be the Chief Guest of India’s Republic day celebrations. This is the first time an American President will be attending such event in India. Obama is also the only US President to visit India twice during his tenure.
The tour will go on from January 25th to 27th. He will be attending the CEOs conference in Delhi in this tour. Obama will also be visiting Taj Mahal, one of the Wonders of the World in India. It is said that India and US are likely to sign their new 10-year defense framework agreement during the visit.
Security cover in Delhi is beefed up according to the schedule of Obama in the wake of intelligence alerts about possible terror attack. It is also said that Barack Obama will be signing an MOU regarding US help to Vishakapatnam, Allahabad and Ajmer develop as Smart Cities.
