Officials increase loan waiver burden in TS!

Revenue officials in Telangana are not cooperating to the government’s target of weeding out bogus loan waiver beneficiaries. There are several instances of farmers taking loans from multiple banks submitting bogus land papers. It is said that Revenue officials worked hand in hand with such farmers and digging out the bogus will mean that they get entangled themselves in the mess so Revenue officials are not digging deep in to the issue and are giving all is well reports to the government subsequently the burden of loan waiver is increasing on the government.

Telangana government has promised 1 Lakh loan waiver per family in the last elections. Accordingly government is thinking on the lines of waiving off loan less than or equal to 30000 and will be issuing bonds for the rest of the amount if any up to 70000. However farmers are strictly opposing this move and are demanding that the total One Lakh should be waived off immediately.
