Once again Telugu people have become trending topic all over for their inherent obsession with caste. This time, it was visible on a national platform as the person people searching has been a national obsession for past few days.

The person here is PV Sindhu, who has recently won the Silver medal in Rio Olympics. This achievement of her brought a huge spotlight to Badminton, coach Gopichand and herself. Many were searching for her across the country and that’s how this shocking revelation came to fore about Telugu people in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.

It once again highlights the people here thought more than the historical achievement, her caste was important. While these feelings are rampant across the length and breadth of the country, the urban youth active in social media expressed shock as if this isn’t a reality anymore and were appalled at the people’s behavior.
