One Justice For YCP, Different One For TDP

Three Rajya Sabha Seats in Andhra Pradesh are falling vacant and will have elections in March.

TDP is likely to field a candidate despite having no strength given that there are chances of YSR Congress MLAs cross-voting for its candidate.

YSR Congress became wary of the situation and requested the Speaker to disqualify four of its MLAs and two MLCs. These Four MLAs cross-voted for the TDP candidate in the MLC election last year.

It is interesting to see how the Speaker will approach this.

Three of the TDP MLAs and a Janasena MLA have defected to YSR Congress and their disqualification has to be decided before considering YSR Congress’s complaint.

If the complaints of the Opposition are not considered and the work of the YSR Congress is done, it is a big blemish on the Speaker’s position.

But then, Jagan Mohan Reddy is someone who does not care for these things.

Retaining Power is of paramount importance for Jagan more than anything else.

Even if the four MLAs are disqualified, the YSR Congress still will have the headache of Rebels who are denied tickets.
