One More Re-Poll in AP, This Time on TDP’s Complaint?

The recent Re-Polling decision of the Election Commission of India in five Polling Stations of Chandragiri Constituency has raked in a controversy. TDP is alleging that the Election Commission is acting at the behest of YSR Congress to trouble TDP with such decisions.

TDP has made similar complaints about 18 Booths across the state. The Election Commission did not care for the complaint but after the controversy to save the face, the State Election Commission has recommended Re-Polling in Two More Booths of Chandragiri basing on TDP’s Complaint.

The issue is currently pending with the Election Commission of India. If the Election Commission allows, the Re-Polling can take place anytime before the counting day. The Officials are making necessary arrangements to have the re-polling if they get the permission.

This is the first time in the country that the re-polling is happening in multiple phases. Election Commission with its incompetence made Andhra Pradesh a sensitive state.
