Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is keen on pleasing the voters in GHMC region. Ahead of the polls, the Chief Minister already announced Free regularization of lands for poor who occupied less than or equal to 125 square yards of government lands and constructed houses. And now the state government is working in the direction of withdrawing house tax for the poor in GHMC limits.
Now they will have to pay only one rupee per year. This move is expected to benefit nearly three Lakh poor families in GHMC limits. People living in slums and other regions will get this benefit. Currently they are paying 100 to 1000 Rupees per year.
The government is expected to lose a paltry 100 Crore income by this move. Official announcement of this scheme is expected to come after KCR’s Delhi tour. Government is planning to apply this scheme to Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar cities and other towns in the state.
