It looks like the stage is set for director Ram Gopal Varma’s arrest. As he decided to skip the questioning at Ongole Rural Police Station, Ongole Police have reached his home in Hyderabad and will most likely take him into custody.
A complaint was filed against RGV by Maddipadu TDP leader Ramalingaiah at Ongole Rural Police Station regarding the derogatory comments he made against AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and Nara Lokesh during the promotions of his movie, Vyooham.
RGV earlier approached the High Court seeking to quash this complaint. However, the High Court stated that it would not interfere in the issue and advised RGV to file an anticipatory bail petition if he fears arrest.
On November 19, RGV requested the police four days to attend the questioning. Today, he was supposed to attend the interrogation but decided to skip again. However, through his lawyer, he informed Ongole Police that he could not attend the questioning.
As he already skipped the questioning once, Ongole Police landed at RGV’s house this morning and are waiting to take him to Ongole. The police say that he is not cooperating for the questioning and thus, he might be taken into custody.
