With Telugu Desam Party all set to for the first government in Andhra Pradesh after State bifurcation, TDP supporters have to thank West Godavari people first. The district have given historic mandate in the favour of Telugu Desam Party. All the 15 MLAs and 3 MPs in the district have gone TDP’s way leaving opposition parties way behind. The district have given similar mandate in the recently concluded local body elections. TDP has got all the municipalities of the districts and 43 out 46 ZPTCs.
In the positive wave for the party, Achanta MLA Pitani Satya Narayana (an Ex-Congress Minister) and Nidadavole MLA Burugupalli Sesha Rao even though faced with lot of anti-incumbency factor sailed through safely. Eluru MP seat which was usually supposed to be tough for TDP was comfortably bagged with over one lakh majority. With this stupendous success, TDP leaders of West Godavari are requesting Chandra Babu to have the swearing in ceremony in the district as a token of gratitude to the district people.
