A Report in Sakhi Newspaper today claims that Andhra Pradesh BJP leaders are attributing their poor performance in the Tirupati by-election to Pawan Kalyan. The report says BJP leaders say Pawan Kalyan backstabbed BJP to help TDP.
“Janasena got 12,315 votes in Tirupati Assembly segment in 2019 but BJP got only 11,598 votes this time. BJP National Secretary, Sunil Deodhar watched Vakeel Saab and praised the film helping Pawan Kalyan with publicity but the latter backstabbed us,” they reportedly said.
“Pawan Kalyan stayed away from the campaign of BJP in the crucial one week before the election to help Chandrababu Naidu,” they add. We can not vouch for the authenticity of the report but if true, it looks like both the BJP and Janasena are not happy with the alliance.
BJP candidate, former IAS officer, Ratnaprabha has got a 5.17% Vote Share in this election and also lost her deposit.
