Penamaluru seat in Krishna district has become a point of discussion. Chandrababu Naidu refused the ticket for Bode Prasad. Bode won as an MLA in 2014 elections but lost in 2019.
He is known to be very accessible to the people. So, his exclusion has come as a surprise.
Buzz is that Bode Prasad distanced himself from local TDP leaders and they are not ready to co-operate with him. Also, it came to the notice of the TDP leadership that he is getting close to Kodali Nani and Vallabhaneni Vamsi.
There are rumors that Bode Prasad may contest as an Independent if denied the ticket.
On the other side, names like Devineni Chandu, Alapati Raja, and Vasantha Krishna Prasad were heard as his replacement.
Sources say that Devineni Chandu is confirmed and the announcement will come in two to three days.
Chandu is the General Secretary of Telugu Rashtra Yuvatha and is said to be close to Nara Lokesh.
Minister Jogi Ramesh is the YSR Congress candidate from Penamaluru.
Chandrababu will have the task of convincing Bode Prasad not to contest as an Independent.
