If you observe Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam yatra as TDP General Secretary, you’ll notice that very few days have been allocated to the United Krishna district. The Yuvagalam Padayatra is scheduled for just three days in the district from August 19th to 21st. No other district has been assigned such a short duration as Krishna.
Allegedly, internal differences among leaders within the district have prompted the TDP to make this decision. Over the course of these three days, Lokesh will cover partial segments of Vijayawada West, Vijayawada Central, Vijayawada East, and Penamaluru. The marathon will conclude in Gannavaram.
Vijayawada MP Keshineni Nani is seemingly behaving as if he is no longer part of the party. He did not participate in the rally, especially on the days when it went through Vijayawada. Interestingly, Lokesh’s yatra passed by Kesineni Bhavan near Vijayawada Bus Stand, which could be seen as a point of contention.
Nani might not be receptive to giving prominence to his brother Kesineni Chinni within the TDP. Chinni has been actively involved in the party for the past two years. Chandrababu Naidu entrusted Chinni with responsibilities related to Lokesh’s Padayatra.
The political complexities in Gudivada are far from resolved within the TDP. Initially, when the party announced the Yuvagalam in Krishna district, many expected Gudivada to be part of Lokesh’s Padayatra. However, Gudivada was excluded from his tour due to conflicts arising from two candidates vying for the TDP ticket.
To avoid such issues and unnecessary complications, the TDP opted to limit Lokesh’s marathon to just three days in the district. Despite the internal differences among leaders, the people of the district appear to disagree with the TDP’s decision. Specifically, women have warmly welcomed Nara Lokesh and eagerly await his presence, even on the roads late at night. On Sunday, his Padayatra was delayed by 8 hours from the scheduled time in the Krishna district.
