After the meeting, IYR Krishna Rao left to North Block of Parliament and met some key officials of the Home Ministry. While Krishna Rao is briefing Home Ministry officials, Central Minister Sujana Chowdary came over there and had a one to one meeting with Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Andhra Pradesh DGP, Ramudu is also expected to brief Home Ministry officials on this issue later on in the day or tomorrow.
It is already known to our readers that Andhra Pradesh government had alleged the tapping of 120 phones belonging to AP CM, Ministers, MLAs, Bureaucrats and their families. Phone Tapping is a serious crime in India. Only Union Home Secretary can issue permissions for phone tapping when he is convinced that national security is at risk by some one. In 1988, Karnataka Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde was forced to resign over the allegations of phone tapping on opposition parties and businessmen in the state.
