Former Pithapuram MLA SVSN Varma has once again been sidelined. During the general elections last year, he gave up candidature for MLA seat for Pawan Kalyan.
Varma was hoping for a MLC seat in recognition of his services. But his hopes were crashed as he was overlooked.
Speaking to party members, SVSN Varma however displayed restraint and said that we think a lot to select a ZTPC member. Our leader has to consider many equations to pick a candidate. There will be some discomforts, some blocks and some considerations for our state leader. We must understand his problems and not go against him.
Varma went on to say that their party was in power for 15-20 years. The party is running ahead under the able leadership of Chandrababu and Lokesh. So we must support the party always, said Varma.
We must support the future torchbearer of the party Nara Lokesh, he said in conclusion.
Another development is that former YSRCP MLA Pendem Dorababu who defeated Varma in Pithapuram has joined Jana Sena. It is being said that his induction will be used to counter Varma politically.
Another leader who did not get the MLC seat despite high expectations is TDP’s senior leader Ramakrishnudu.
