PM Modi, CM Vijay Take Chennai Metro Ride Together

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Poonamallee-Vadapalani corridor of Chennai Metro Phase II during his visit to Tamil Nadu. The project cost an estimated ₹4,900 crore.

After the inauguration, Modi travelled by metro from Porur to Poonamallee along with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to lay foundation stones for development projects worth more than ₹13,000 crore and dedicate completed projects to the nation.

The new metro corridor is expected to improve connectivity across parts of Chennai and make daily travel easier for commuters.
