Tamil Nadu has found a new chief minister in the form of Vijay, who was successful in his very first attempt at power. Now he is already presented with the first big exam examination.
A couple of Assembly constituencies went to by election in Tamil Nadu earlier this week and the results for the same have been announced today.
The positive thing for the Vijay government is that they were able to successfully defend both these seats Madhurantakam and Dharapuram by a comfortable margin.
This is an indication that the people of Tamil Nadu are fairly happy with the early days of the Vijay administration in the state.
But margin of victory is just around 10,000 to 15,000 votes in both the constituencies which is rather mediocre for a party that’s in power. If the early mandate for Vijay was so outrightly positive, then the result would have been significantly higher.
For now, a reasonable victory in these two constituencies might be considered a breather for Vijay by there is significant ground to be covered to assert further dominance.
