Narendra Modi Kancha Gachibowli Lands

Prime Minister Modi was in Haryana on Monday to launch several developmental projects in Haryana to mark the birth anniversary of Bhim Rao Ambedkar.

He later addressed a huge gathering. During his speech, he took on the Congress party for opposing the Waqf Bill. He said the party was using the issue for its benefit.

But the PM did spring a surprise by talking about the Kancha Gachibowli land in Telangana. Continuing his criticism of the Congress party, he said that the Congress was behind razing forest land and killing of wild life.

The Prime Minister started out by saying that the Congress government in Telangana forgot the promises it made prior to the elections.

They are busy razing forests. Their acts resulted in damage of forest land and death of innocent animals that inhabited the Kancha Gachibowli lands, he said.

The Congress is busy, busy killing a thriving forest by sending bulldozers, said the Prime Minister. Incidentally, this is the first time that the Prime Minister spoke about the contentious issue.

While the Congress government in Telangams claims the lands belongs to the government, the students of HCU and environmentalists call them forest lands.




For the unversed, the Supreme Court had to get involved to stop the bulldozers. It directed that a report on the issue must be submitted within six months.
