Police Hawkeye on Mudragada’s Padayatra

Andhra Pradesh Government is on its toes as today is the day of Kapu Strongman Mudragada Padmanabham’s Chalo Amaravati Padayatra. In the wake of earlier arson in Tuni, the government has deployed huge forces in East Godavari to avoid any untoward incidents.

Mudragada was house arrested for 24 hours and Section 144 is imposed in East Godavari. Mudragada‘s house in Kirlampudi was sealed to prevent the outsiders from entering. People coming from other districts were being sent back at the district outskirts itself.

On the other side, security is beefed up at Amaravati Secretariat. Barricades were put up everywhere leading to the Secretariat and all the vehicles are being thoroughly checked before allowing. The government agreed to give permission given that Mudragada takes up the complete responsibility.

But then, Mudragada refused to take the permission in prescribed format leading to the refusal of the permission for his Padayatra from Kirlampudi to Amaravati. Opposition parties are supporting Mudragada to unsettle the ruling party.
