N Chandrababu Naidu, the former CM of Andhra Pradesh and head of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in a case about a skill development program. This arrest has caused massive political turmoil in the state.
Chandrababu Naidu is being accused of planning this scheme through the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), which was meant to train young people in the state who didn’t have jobs. However, a significant point of contention is the fact that the FIR report did not mention Naidu’s name, which reeks of conspiracy against CBN.
Whenever such big political upsets happen, all the focus of media, social media, and the public shifts towards them. People lose their interest in other things happening around them, especially movies.
After Naidu’s arrest, all the attention shifted towards this fraudulent case born out of vindictive politics by YS Jagan against TDP. Even well-performing movies like Jawan and Ms. Shetty Mr. Polishetty have been completely sidelined, and right now, no one is talking about them, neither in the media nor on social media.
In the next three months, there will be elections in Telangana, followed by elections in Andhra Pradesh in six to seven months. During these times, the movie industry is likely to face significant challenges in finding an audience and succeeding at the box office due to the intense political focus and competition for attention.
