Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy was the lawyer in Jagan’s cases before 2019 and he was made the Additional Advocate General after winning in 2019.
After losing power, he was designated as the Party’s General Secretary. He has been dealing with most cases of the party’s social media activists and leaders in the last eight months.

But then, Ponnavolu is unable to get any reprieve for the leaders.
Whenever Ponnavolu argues for any leader, he makes sure he gives maximum interviews to the Media but fails to secure Bail.

Take the instance of Vallabhaneni Vamsi, before the media, he argued that Vamsi had filed an affidavit that he knows nothing about Satyavardhan.
“Since my client knows nothing about Satyavardhan, the Police can not extract anything from him. They can make him say something only using the Third Degree. So Vamsi should not be given to Police Custody,” Ponnavolu said before the media and in the court.

The Court did not agree and gave Vamsi for three days of Police Custody.
And in the case of Posani Krishna Murali, Ponnavolu argued that Section 111,67 is not applicable. These are non-bailable sections.
Ponnavolu said these sections should go and the maximum punishment under the remaining sections comes down to less than seven years so Posani should get bail.
But the Railway Koduru Court sent Posani to two weeks of Judicial Remand.
In a day or two, the Police will also ask for his Police Remand and most likely will get it.
Whenever Ponnavolu speaks to the media, he appears to be in total control and has a complete grip on the cases and sections.
But then, in courts, he is proving to be ineffective.
All the leaders arrested so far had to undergo normal processes and ordeal before getting bail. Former Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh got released from jail after spending there for 145 days. Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy argued his cases.
