Six new members were sworn in as the Ministers of Telangana State a short while ago in Raj Bhavan. Governor ESL Narasimhan had administered the oath with them. Later Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had allotted them portfolios. KCR did not touch any of the portfolios of other ministers but distributed the portfolios with him to the new members.
The cabinet expansion created so many controversies after KCR admitting other party leaders who joined the party very recently. KCR had taken care of Social calculations while giving the cabinet berths. But could not even accommodate single woman in the cabinet. Here is the list of new members and their portfolios:
1. Tummala Nageswara Rao – Roads and Buildings
2. Jupally Krishna Rao – Industries
3. C.Lakshma Reddy – Power
4. Talsani Srinivas Yadav – Commercial Taxes and Cinematography
5. A.Indrakaran Reddy – Housing, Law, women and Child welfare
6. A.Chandulal – Tribal Welfare, Endowments
Following Ministers were given additional responsibilities
1. Jogu Ramana – BC Welfare
2. Padmarao – Sports, Youth Affairs
