Presidential Election: Impact on Telugu Politics!

It is confirmed that there is going to be a contest for the Prestigious President of India Post. Two Dalit Candidates are running for the post for the first time. Congress-led Opposition choosing Meira Kumar will have an impact on Telugu Politics for a single reason – The State Bifurcation.

Meira Kumar was the Speaker when Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act was passed in Parliament in the most debatable manner. She has allowed to switch off the lights, turn off the Live coverage, manhandle Andhra MPs and allowed to pass the bill in a way which shames the Parliamentary procedures.

But then, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will obviously see it in different ways. Andhra People can never forgive Meira Kumar for what she did and Telangana people will believe that she did all that she can do to pass the bill which would have been not possible if that moment is gone.

But then, all the Telugu Parties will not vote for her as they have lent their support to NDA’s Candidate. Congress will vote from Telangana but can not from AP since they have no representation from here. On moral grounds, TRS should be compelled to vote her but not the case now.
