According to the rules book, IAS officers are not allowed to write letters about their service directly to the Prime Minister. They have to reach out to the Prime Minister only through their senior officers. PMO warned them with action if this kind of behaviour continues.
Rajiv Sharma instructed all the IAS officers not to write letters directly to the Prime Minister. He strictly instructed them to go through the processes prescribed in the rules when going about it. Rajiv Sharma also threatened the IAS officers with action in case this continues.
