Ever since it was revealed that the ghee used for preparing Tirupati Laddu under YCP’s rule was adulterated with animal fats, YCP leaders have been coming up with various excuses and theories.
Now, senior YCP leader and former speaker, Tammineni Sitaram, has made controversial remarks regarding the Laddu issue. He claimed that the ghee was not adulterated, but that the issue stemmed from the cows themselves.
During a press meeting, Tammineni stated that the ghee might have been compromised due to the malnutrition of the cows. He further opined that the cows might have been fed damaged fenugreek, mustard, and palm oil, leading to poor-quality milk with which the ghee is made.
He questioned why the YCP is being blamed for this issue and pointed out that the SDBB itself stated that the adulteration report may not be entirely accurate.
Tammineni went on to add that if government leaders allege ghee adulteration, they are implicating themselves, as they would have been responsible for approving the ghee in the first place.
He also criticized the government for making this issue public, stating that by doing so, they are lowering the standards of the Tirumala deity.
Tammineni Sitaram’s comments have gone viral on social media and people are shocked by his statements on the matter.
