The city has been struggling with internet outages for several days after cables were reportedly cut. Many areas experienced a total blackout, leaving residents frustrated and bringing daily life almost to a standstill.
Prof Nageswar, a former MLC, shared his personal experience on social media. He revealed that he lost internet access on Friday and decided to escalate the issue to senior officials, including the OSD to the Energy Department, to express his concern.
Instead of a solution, he was told to file a complaint with his service provider. Prof Nageswar later spoke on television, questioning how the common man is expected to manage such issues when even he received no support.
He also mentioned that he called the Deputy CM and Principal Secretary Energy but got no response. The city has reportedly been facing outages for nearly 20 days, yet this is the first time the professor has publicly expressed frustration.
His reaction has amused many as he repeatedly reminded viewers that he is an ex-MLC. In today’s world, where even those in power do not get special treatment, expecting instant action seems unrealistic and calls for reflection
