PSR Anjaneyulu in Remand Till May 7

Vijayawada Court has imposed remand to ex Intelligence chief PSR Anjaneyulu. It is known that he was arrested in actress Kadambari Jatwani case on Tuesday.

After health check-up in Vijayawada, he was produced before the Court. The Court ordered remand till May 7. Anjaneyulu was taken to Vijayawada district jail.

Kadambari Jatwani had filed a complaint after the alliance government came to power against Anjaneyulu accusing him of harassing her and her family.

She also filed a case on Kantirana Tata and Vishal Gunni. Jatwani alleged that she was wrongly accused of selling the lands of one Vidyasagar using false documents, a story fabricated by YSRCP leaders.

At the time, Jatwani, her parents were brought to Vijayawada for trial. After change in government, Jatwani complained of misuse of political authority and political victimisation.

The arrest of a high-ranking officer has intensified scrutiny over police conduct during YSRCP regime. The investigation is on and more arrests are likely in the matter.

In a different development, Anjaneyulu has been booked by the Guntur CID police station for allegedly threatening Andhra Pradesh Government Employees Association president KR Suryanarayana with a firearm.
