Purandeswari Turning Another Lakshmi Parvathi?

Politics is no place to pursue personal agendas. History knows it well. Chandrababu Naidu never talked about Lakshmi Parvathi after NTR’s coup while the latter tried her level best to defame Naidu. What happened later is that people sided with Naidu and Lakshmi Parvathi got herself into a position that no one would mind her.

Purandeswari seems to be heading in the same direction. She won the accolades of even a wise economist like Manmohan Singh while she is in the cabinet of UPA government. But it is all downside for her once she came out of Congress. The NTR’s daughter used to carry herself with a lot of elegance and even would win accolades of TDP fans.

But now the way she is talking and how shamelessly she is defending BJP’s insensitivity to the state is belittling her stature. She is taking herself to the position that she can no longer contest a direct election. One can clearly see that she is doing that out of her hatred towards Chandrababu. But that would stoop her to the level of Lakshmi Parvathi and no one will really care.
