Rajamahendravam: Gap Widens Between MP Bharat & The Seniors

Erstwhile East Godavari district is a politically highly relevant district in AP politics. They say ‘Thoorpu Etaithe Rashtram kuda ate’ which means East Godavari results will decide the ruling party in the state.

Maragani Bharat contested for Rajamahendravaram Parliament for the first time in 2019 and won.

Bharat is facing severe anti-incumbency this time as Urban areas in the state are quickly turning against YSR Congress.

Meanwhile, Bharat is also facing problems from the party seniors.

Minister Chelluboina Venu Gopalakrishna and Rajya Sabha MP Subash Chandrabose of the district are not cooperating with the MP. The other local prominent leaders are also not cooperating with the MP.

Buzz is that Minister Chelluboina Venu Gopalakrishna is keen on contesting as Rajamahendravaram MP next time. Previously, Bharat also faced a problem with the local MLA, Jakkampudi Raja.

But Chief Minister Jagan spoke to him and solved the issue after speaking with Raja and making the latter the District President.

Even though Bharat – Raja episode got a closure, the tiff with other seniors is still on.
