Under the pressure from media as well as opposition parties, Telangana government dedicated a full day for discussing the issue. While our learned leaders are discussing and debating on who is responsible for the plight of the farmers in the state, a farmer came all the way from Warangal and climbed a mobile tower near the assembly threatening to end his life.

The stories of 1400 lost lives and that one hanged in air narrates the sad saga of the farmers in the State. The government which came to power promising Bangaru Telangana is searching a way out of the political criticism and tries to silence the bereaved families with compensation. The apathy can not be further described when government figures show under-reported death numbers so that government do not get the blame. The country which boasts farmers as its backbone has a very least respect for their lives. Harsh but true!
