Red Sanders will not come for T’s rescue!

Red Sander Trees have come to Andhra Pradesh’s rescue in difficult times and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao asked officials to plant the trees in the state as a part of Haritha Haaram taken up by the state. However to his disappointment, officials ruled out such possibility.

They have informed that the climate in Telangana is not suitable for Red Sanders which are usually grown in Rayalaseema. Even if they grow, they produce much inferior quality which is of no use and can not be used for commercial purpose. Instead they suggest, government should bank on trees like teak or eucalyptus.

The main objective of Haritha Haaram programme is to increase green cover in Telangana from the existing 25 per cent to 33. For this, government is planning to add 230 crore plants in the next three years.
