PK Affect: Cong Leader Calls Revanth Mannerless

Revanth Reddy Bihari remark controversy

It is not just Jan Suraaj leader Prashant Kishor who is upset with Telangana CM Revanth Reddy. Leaders from his own party Congress are also angry over his remarks on the Bihari community.

Revanth Reddy did not expect such backlash when he claimed that “it was in the DNA of Biharis to be labourers.” His statement continues to draw strong reactions from political circles.

In a TV interview, Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar, who is from Bihar, reacted strongly. When asked about Revanth Reddy comparing his DNA to that of Biharis, Kanhaiya said that the tender for such comments was already taken by Prashant Kishor.

Kanhaiya Kumar, former JNU Students’ Union president and AICC incharge of the National Students’ Union of India, said his upbringing, culture, and history never taught him to insult a person or community without reason. He stressed that respect is central to his values.

He added that if anyone hurts sentiments or self-respect, whether from his party or not, he will call him out. “Just like we call a thief, thief, we will call a badtameez, badtameez. It doesn’t matter if he is from my party,” Kanhaiya said emotionally.

Now, all eyes are on Revanth Reddy to see how he responds.
