Revanth Reddy Overlooking Important Things?

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is known to be a sharp politician, but of late, he seems to be missing out on the basics. Farmers in Telangana have been protesting on the roads over the ongoing urea scarcity in the state.

At the same time, heavy rains have lashed several districts, and places like Kamareddy are submerged. Normally, these issues should be the top priority for the Chief Minister. However, Revanth Reddy was busy touring Bihar when the urea shortage was taking centre stage.

His government has also spent Telangana’s money on advertisements in Bihar to benefit the Congress Party there. Instead of addressing urgent issues, he chaired a review meeting on the 2036 Olympics bid and on Musi Beautification. While these projects are long-term, they hardly match the urgency of the farmers’ and flood victims’ plight.

After criticism from the Opposition, Revanth Reddy hurriedly conducted an aerial survey of the flood-hit areas. Such delays may appear small, but they can build a strong anti-government narrative, especially with local body polls and the Jubilee Hills by-election approaching.

Taking advantage of the situation, KTR has called on BRS cadres to actively take part in relief measures and support people in distress. It is high time Revanth Reddy reassesses his political priorities before public opinion turns against him.
