No Assembly But Took 1.24 Cr Salary?

The Telangana political landscape is starting to heat up as Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has begun directly targeting KCR. The latest political attack is focused on KCR’s role as an MLA and his absence from the Assembly.

Revanth Reddy is now calling for a public movement demanding KCR’s resignation as an MLA. He has alleged that KCR did not attend a single Assembly session or speak on behalf of the people of his constituency.

At the same time, Revanth Reddy claimed that KCR continued to receive his salary during this period. According to the statement issued by Revanth Reddy, KCR received ₹1.24 crore in salary over the last couple of years.

The issue has now started gaining traction on social media. It could soon turn into a bigger political discourse in Telangana, especially if the ruling party continues to push the issue aggressively.

KCR has largely confined himself to his farmhouse since the defeat in the 2023 election. He has also rarely stepped out in public. It remains to be seen whether Revanth Reddy’s latest provocation will change the political dynamic for KCR.

A similar situation is being observed in Andhra Pradesh as well. Former Chief Minister YS Jagan is also not attending Assembly sessions. However, the key difference is that Jagan is reportedly not taking any salary as an MLA.
