Revanth Reddy has become the Chief Minister of Telangana disappointing Bhatti Vikramarka. Bhatti hoped that he would be selected based on seniority and Dalit card but the High Command voted to Revanth Reddy’s popularity.
Bhatti was appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister.
It looks like both the leaders are playing a mind game with each other.
Bhatti wants to field his wife, Nandini from the Khammam Lok Sabha segment. While this is still in the proposal stage, Revanth Reddy made a quick move and brought up the issue of Sonia Gandhi contesting from the Khammam Lok Sabha segment.
Apparently, Revanth Reddy does not want Bhatti to become a big power center. Bringing Sonia Gandhi would dilute whatever claims the other leaders made regarding Khammam.
Meanwhile, Bhatti also made a move making his wife give an interview to a YouTube Channel.
In the interview, Nandini narrated how Bhatti and the cadre were disappointed about not being made the Chief Minister. She even mentioned ‘Rebeling’ at that state which is more like an indirect warning to Revanth Reddy.
It has to be seen what the Congress High Command decides about Khammam!
Khammam should be an easy seat for Congress given the influence of Andhra and TDP voters along with BRS being weak in the district.
In case Sonia Gandhi does not contest from Khammam, Ponguleti’s Brother or Nama Nageshwara Rao will be Revanth Reddy’s picks for the seat.
