RK Beach Protest: Reasons for No Permission

The proposed Special Status Protest at RK Beach, Vishakapatnam on Republic Day is likely to be whipped by the Police Department. AP DGP, Samba Siva Rao the other day clarified that nobody sought permission for the event and even if they did, the department can not give permission for the event. There are several reasons for the permission denial.

Firstly, there are intelligence reports of possible Terror attacks in the country in the wake of Republic Day. Red Alert is sounded across all the cities in the country and in such condition, there is no chance of giving permission for such event. Moreover, no one took the ownership for the conduct of this event. Without, that Police can not allow the protest.

And the third important reason is that Vishakapatnam is hosting the Second Partnership Summit. Delegates and investors of 40 countries, Union Ministers, State Ministers and the Chief Minister will be in the city for the event. Most of them will be residing in Novotel Hotel which is very close to RK Beach where the protest is planned. It has to be seen if the protestors refuse to bog down and continue the protest leading to unnecessary tension.
