Roja to Fire up First Assembly Session in Amaravati

The Future of YSR Congress MLA Roja will be decided on 7th of this month. Roja who served a one-year suspension will be allowed to speak in the house on 6th and her future in another case related to abuse of TDP MLA Anitha will be taken up on 7th. Privileges Committee took up the issue and Roja did not come up a satisfactory reply.

She did not agree to apologize to Anitha unconditionally. The Committee recommended one more year of suspension. Roja will be given a chance to tender an unconditional apology in the house on 6th. If she refused, the house may have to accept one more year suspension for the Nagari MLA.

One Year Suspension for an MLA will mean that he/she had to forego all the monetary and protocol benefits an MLA is entitled to. Forgoing Protocol Benefits will mean that the MLA will have no hold on the officials in the district and constituency.

Along with Roja, there are some other YSR Congress MLAs who are facing disciplinary actions for their misbehavior in the last Assembly session. This issue will mean that the first Assembly Session in Amaravati will be hot and happening. People can only hope some meaningful discussions can happen.
