Roja receives a setback in High Court

YSR Congress Suspended MLA, Roja got a disappointing news from Hyderabad High Court. The High court divisional bench struck down the interim judgement given by Single bench which allowed Roja to enter AP Assembly. The high court instructed Roja to adhere to the ruling of the Assembly Privileges Committee.

The court also clarified that the courts can not interfere in the Assembly affairs. The court also agreed that Speaker is the final decision in deciding up on the affairs in the house. This judgement will support the government’s stance in this issue. This will mean that Roja has to undergo the normal procedures of Assembly.

She will have to apologize in the house or go for the punishment awarded to her. YSR Congress is shell shocked over this judgement. It is said that Roja may approach Supreme Court over the issue. With this judgement, a PIL demanding Criminal action on AP CM and Speaker may also struck down.
