Round the clock strong security for EVMs!

Now that the elections are complete in Telangana, the prime responsibility of Election commission and the Police department is to safeguard the Electronic Voting Machines till May 16th, the day of counting. Round the clock security is being provided for the EVMs in fifteen different locations of the city. The EVMs of Musheerabad and Nampally Assembly constituencies are being guarded at the LB Stadium while that of Goshamahal Assembly segment has been kept at Sultan Ul Uloom College in Banjara Hills.

The machines used in Khairatabad and Jubilee Hills Assembly segments in Secunderabad Lok Sabha constituency have been kept in the Kotla Vijayabhaskar Stadium in Yosufguda. Three tier security is deployed at all the locations i.e., paramilitary personnel, state armed forces and local police station cops.. The counting on May 16th will begin on 8 AM and will end by 2 PM the same day.
